Netflix and HBO GO every day have more suscriptors. This due to the option of see their favorite shows or movies when they want, different to open television which have a schedule to fulfill.
According to a study realized by IMS, 85% of Mexico's population preffers Netflix, or others services of TV on demand, over open television.
Some television companies had diversified their contents, as Televisa, which will launch it's new service called Izzi TV. With this, it's consumers could have access to many video on demand services, Blim catalogue and Fox and HBO with 14 thousand original contents just paying 360 pesos per month.
However, we must to consider that services like Netflix have offers where the consumer can access to it' s service but also to a application grid which complement the schedule.
Internet has changed our lives. However, is too son to say that open television has died. If television companies know how to adapt to the new changes and demands, they will keep on business by far.
